Anti-stiffness campaign...
Well, I'm not very flexible to say the least but recently it has started to feel almost ok. Only static stretching so far but with the aid of Flashmavi I have started to look at dynamic stretching at least for the legs. This will take time for sure, hehe!

The targets
After some deep thoughts about what is possible to do, it is time to be a bit down to earth... Target for first half of 2009 is to do at least two of the following:
- Wall flip
- Moon kick
- B-twist
The moon kick is something for itself but technically the easiest version is more about doing it than about difficulty, nice tutorial here:

Small step for me...
Today I finally managed to get close to a controlled handstand, will be highest priority for the next few weeks.
In the meantime, the wall flip below is the first real target for 2009, to be completed before end of May - I need to overcome the backwards fear though. No problem on the trampoline, bad on ground...
Nice sampler of all the things I want to do :):

Do SOMETHING every day
The only way for me to get somewhere is to do something every single day. The first three months focus will be on basic training, no fun. Stretching is mandatory and the rest is more or less based on which parts of the body that feels OK...
Tried some cartwheeling this week but I'm just too weak and stiff sideways so to make it possible to practice I just use the open style from capoeira - overview here:

Grand Opening ;)
The first entry of this blog will just be a quick summary of the intention of the same: to keep track of how far it is possible to develop in parkour and tricking when you have passed 40... I was inspired by my 20 year old cousin who visited us 18 months back and showed me and the kids the Monkey jump - and I was sold.
So I did in fact start already at that time and have picked up a couple of moves but now it is time to get serious. So from now on I will start top follow some decent training schedule and set some targets, the latter should be completed in January but I know I will try wall flips, b-twists and aerials before summer ends - I expect that it will be exciting and it will hurt...
